Governor Malloy: Jonathan Pelto Has No Shot

New Haven Register photo Gov. Dannel P. Malloy hasn’t commented on the potential for Jonathan Pelto to get on the ballot as a third-party candidate and mount a challenge to him from the left.

In fact, he usually doesn’t refer to him by name.

But, that changed Thursday as he talked about the hypothetical election fight with Pelto, wrapping his answer within the Goldilocks children’s story that his agenda “is just right,” as opposed to Pelto’s and Republican Tom Foley’s.

In an interview with the New Haven Register, he was asked what would he say to someone who is thinking about voting for Pelto, a former Democratic Party insider who has been a critic of Malloy for the past four years over his education agenda.

“I don’t know who is on the ballot and if it is a question of voting for Tom Foley or Jonathan Pelto, please vote for Jonathan Pelto,” Malloy said, somewhat tongue in cheek.

Nancy DeNardo & the Democrats will do everything possible to keep Pelto’s name from being on the Ballot in November.  I’ll bet my bank account on it.  It’s all about party unity and above all else POWER!

My hunch is that the Democrats & Nancy DeNardo told the powers to be of the Working Family’s Party NOT to endorse Pelto.  It’s all about a united front.  Pelto on the ballot would certainly divide the Democrats between the Left and the Far Ultra Left thus paving the way for a Foley victory.

Anyone want to guess who sent out the e-mail to the Democratic Party Town Chairs, telling them to tell their Town Clerks to disqualify as many signatures on Pelto’s petitions as they can? Birth date, please, Malloy and his cabal believe in winning and rules be damned. Think of 2010 and the mysteries in Bridgeport. Lie,cheat, and take care of yourself and your buddies first is the MO of this administration. Art, I won’t take your beat.

Shouldn’t it be Goldilocks and the FOUR bears? Visconti always gets overlooked and discounted. If were going to split the vote… lets be fair about it.

Me to Malloy, you had your shot.
