In the big scheme of things, I guess 300 isn't so bad. However, since Florida in 2000 people have been asking the government to fix the polls, and it's still not done. We vote with different technology from one state, county, and town to another, and we depend on volunteers to keep track of the system. It's amazing there aren't more mistakes.
We need a foolproof system with automatic, transparent audits. No matter how trustworthy our election officials may seem, they are human. We need a system that is beyond fallible.
My two cents.
