(Updated: 3:25 p.m.) Robert Jacobs, patriarch of a powerful bail bond family brought down by a police corruption probe, asked a judge to let him bear the burden for his sons’ misdoings, too.

In two sentencings Tuesday, Judge Janet Bond Arterton heard his plea:

• Father Robert Jacobs was sentenced to 15 months in prison, reports Melissa Bailey.

• His son Phil (pictured) got 4 months in the slammer, Andrew Mangino reports here.
