Saying Wayne Cooke acted “incredibly foolishly,” but not necessarily criminally, a state prosecutor yesterday agreed not to pursue reckless endangerment charges stemming from Cooke’s decision to smear chemically harmful bird gel on a score of political signs he had purchased and put up around Branford.

Post-Election Spin Zone: Republicans Say They Had More Gains Than Dems Tuesday

Drew Credits Victory To Face Time With Middletown Voters

10 Towns Consolidate, Move Polling Locations

Election Day Moves Forward

Despite the near blackout of 31 cities and towns in north central Connecticut, tomorrow’s municipal elections are moving forward. Voters have until noon today to register to vote and polling places across the state will open at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Mobile App Helps Voters Find Their Polling Place

On a typical election day the Secretary of the State’s office receives between 3,000 and 5,000 phone calls from voters looking for their polling place. This year Secretary of the State Denise Merrill is hoping a new online and mobile gadget will help cut down on the calls.
