Communication Failures Continue; NU President Offers Apology and $10M

(Updated 5 p.m.) In what could be seen as another communications failure for Northeast Utilities, the parent company of Connecticut Light & Power, a press release calling for a conference call with the media went out minutes before the telephone conference was held. Only two reporters were on the call.

Reporter Tries To Stump Gov. Malloy

A television reporter tried to stump Gov. Dannel P. Malloy Tuesday with a question about alewifes as he was touring a Windsor shelter. Much to the reporter’s surprise Malloy was up on the issue, which has been the subject of an advertising campaign paid for by the Pew Environment Group.

Jepsen Decision Upholds Esty’s Actions

A decision released Monday by Attorney General George Jepsen found Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Commissioner Daniel C. Esty did nothing wrong when he intervened in a regulatory review of an application by Connecticut Light & Power to install “smart meters.”

National Park Status On Horizon For Colt
