Malloy Promises No New ‘Tax’ Increases

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said Wednesday that he doesn’t plan on tinkering with tax increases to make up for the projected budget shortfall unveiled yesterday by the consensus revenue estimates.

Post-Election Spin Zone: Republicans Say They Had More Gains Than Dems Tuesday

Less than 24 hours after the 2011 municipal Elections, the Republican Party is trying to change Tuesday’s narrative to say preliminary tallies show that it made more gains than losses. But Democrats say they’re using “fuzzy math.”

10 Towns Consolidate, Move Polling Locations

(Updated 10:10 p.m.) Of the 11 towns hardest hit by the October Nor‘Easter all but one of them are planning to go forward with Tuesday‘s municipal Election, while 10 of them will be moving or consolidating their polling locations.
