No one has signed up to testify in favor or against a bill that would require paper towels in public restrooms. The bill is on the agenda for a public hearing today in the Public Health Committee. It includes up to a $500 penalty for non-compliance. The public hearing will start at 10:30 a.m. in room 1D of the Legislative Office Building.

I have two questions: (1)Are you freakin’ kidding? And (2) About this sentence: “At least one-half of any additional toilets in each restroom shall be free.” Which half of the toilet will be free?

You’ll have to go ask the people who proposed that law about the free public toilets back in 1976 because it’s been the law ever since then.

This is a good proposal because half the time, those ridiculous air blower hand dryers in the restrooms don’t work.
