State Official On Paid Leave
The Courant is reporting that “high ranking state insurance Department official,” Barbara Spear, is on paid leave for allegations of ‘“harassment, bullying, and intimidation.”’ Spear has collected $2,300 a week since she went on leave Aug. 10. Read more
State Supreme Court to Hear Ballot Line Case The state Supreme Court this week will take up the issue of which party gets the top line on the ballot on Nov. 6. The Republican Party sued Secretary of the State Denise Merrill when they decided their party should remain on Row A. Oral arguments are Wednesday. Will ballot placement really have an impact?
