The Connecticut Office of State Ethics reported on Tuesday that $38.6 million was spent on lobbying in 2009. About 83 percent was spent on legislative lobbying and 17 percent was spent on administrative lobbying. An estimated $24,248 went directly to public officials for meals and other expenses.
