Rev. Joshua Pawelek and the Interfaith Fellowship for Universal Health Care asks Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, where’s the love for health care? More than 20 health care advocates delivered Valentines Day cards to the governor asking him to support a consumer friendly approach to health care.

I mistakenly assumed healthcare was a done deal. I guess that’s what the administration wants us to think.
Thank you to these courageous ministers for speaking out at a time when the middle class is being lulled into accepting less and less while corporations and the very wealthy are bursting at the seems with exorbitant profits. Until we achieve universal health care, as all of our first world counterparts have, we can’t call ourselves a civilized society. We just can’t. And until that time when everyone can get medical treatment we are all responsible for the deaths of at least 45,000 people per year (according to a recent Harvard study: http://www.reuters.com/article/2009/09/17/us-usa-healthcare-deaths-idUSTRE58G6W520090917). Please keep us informed of where healthcare reform REALLY stands!

Not meaning to sound like an unloving or ungodly-type but, wake up, Rev! This is about money not love. It has become common knowledge that the money for public health and well-being is being misused and abused by CT DSS. It is well documented. I think at this point love is not even a twinkle in CT’s eye. It’s a disregard for the public safety in general. CT does not care about our health. They are trying to make $$$ off it. Love and prayer helps, but this is war…fight like your life depends on it…
