Courtney Picks Obama for President

After last night’s Democratic primary results in Oregon and Kentucky, U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney, D-2nd, held a conference call Wednesday morning to pledge his support as a superdelegate to Illinois Senator Barack Obama.
“I think he’s run a fabulous campaign,” Courtney said.
He said coming from Connecticut’s Second District where Sen. Hillary Clinton narrowly won, he wanted to take his time making a decision, but as the primary results continued to roll in from across the country, it became obvious. “The math is not going to change,” Courtney said Wednesday.
He said even though there are three states left and the primary contest should go on as long as it needs to, the “vast majority of Democrats have spoken,” and at the end of the day the role of superdelegate should be to “validates the choice of the voters.”
Courtney was one of Connecticut’s last two undecided superdelegates. Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo, is now the only undecided superdelegate left.
John Olsen and Ellen Camhi of Stamford are supporting Sen. Hillary Clinton, while the eight remaining superdelegates have pledged their support to Obama.

Great Idea. Lets elect a person who believes in a socialized form of healthcare. If he or Clinto get elected, you will see the medical industry go down the tubes.
