Hartford’s first Fashion Week, used to promote local businesses, wraps up tonight at Hartford 21 with its red carpet finale, “The Culture of Couture Fashion Show.”

The pre-party starts at The Russell on the corner of Pratt and Trumbull Streets and the fashion show starts at 9 p.m. at Hartford 21 right across the street at 221 Trumbull Street. As with every good fashion show it’s followed by an “upscale party” starting at 11:30 p.m.

Tickets for the show are $20 and a portion of the proceeds will help support the NiRo Foundation, which was started last year by Naimah Spann and Rondelynn Bell, who help train young people interested in creative careers like fashion, graphic design, and interior decorating.

For more information about tickets or the NiRo Foundation, contact Spann or Bell at (860) 724-NIRO (6476) or niro(at)att.net. Click here to read our story from December about their grand opening.
