Read “Dirty Ho’s” Complaint Yourself

“All the girls in this department are dirty ho’s.” So, allegedly, said a male detective in New Haven’s notorious once (and future?) narcotics squad. That quotation sits among allegations of sexual harassment and fake overtime in a civil-rights complaint filed against the city by a female New Haven cop. Now you can read the full complaint for yourself.

The cop, Det. Julie Raymond, went to work for the police department’s narcotics unit in March of 2005. She worked for 12 months under Lt. Billy White (pictured). In a ten-page affidavit filed this July with the state Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, Raymond claims that White hounded her to have sex with him, that he put in for overtime that she never worked, and that the atmosphere was one of continual harassment. She quotes another detective as making the comment above about “dirty ho’s.”
