Blacks, Jews Denounce Patrol; Sliwa’s Coming To Town

Jewish and black Christian leaders (including Rabbi David Avigdor and Minister Donald Morris, pictured) united against a new armed patrol in the Edgewood neighborhood launched by an influential yeshiva — as patrol organizers reported a dozen new volunteers and prepared for a visit by Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa.

Two days after the announcement at the Yeshiva of New Haven, the patrol continued to spark controversy in town Wednesday.
