GAE Chair and Vice Chair Write Waterbury Chamber

Posted to Local Politics | State Capitol

The House chairman and vice chairwoman of the Government Administration and Elections Committee wrote this letter to the Waterbury Regional Chamber of Commerce on Friday to inquire about their hiring of former Gov. John G. Rowland.

The letter was prompted by a Commerce Committee meeting in which the City of Waterbury and business leaders requested $40 million in state bonds funds for redevelopment. The GAE chairman and vice-chairwoman want to know if Rowland will be able to get his hands on those public funds and if he will be lobbying for Waterbury businesses that belong to the Chamber.

John Rowland wont be a registered lobbyist so he is free to roam the Capitol if he wants.

Does Caruso want him banned from the building?
