As if he hasn’t earned enough respect over the years, Judiciary Committee Co-Chairman Rep. Michael Lawlor, D-East Haven, allowed himself to be tasered Friday.

According to Rep. Tim O’Brien’s blog Lawlor challenged the man from Taser International to prove how safe it was by using it on him. Click here to read O’Brien’s post and discussion on CT Local Politics.

That took a lot of guts on Lawlor's part. I have a hard time just testing my dog's buzz collar on myself to see if it's working.

A pay site to see Lawyers tazered could be started, it might be popular.

I know a woman now 28 that was beaten unconscious during a brutal rape. Connecticut State Police were too lazy and arrogant to do an real investigation telling the woman she was probably making it up and would face arrest for making a "false statement".

She was giving other officers a detailed account of her rape the week before and T.M. asked officers not to touch her. She was tazered by two officers and her cloths were taken so she could be put in a cell on "suicide watch".

I wonder if the male officers have any males on "suicide watches" and take their cloths away to watch them on "jail cams"?

Why would officers feel the need to tazer a woman twice by two separtate officers?

Connecticut police follow around and threaten citizens that propose legislation police don't like. Make a police misconduct complaint against an officer and then expect to get arrested and face prison.

The police and the courts in Connecticut need to be fixed. I think one way is not to have lawyers as elected legislators as where do their loyalties really lie and where do they butter their bread?

Rep. Lawlor is seen as respected? Wow!Respected buy the cronies entrenched in the justice system in the state of Ct. The right to a speedy trial. The state of Ct. is a joke.

I wonder if Legislator and Lawyer Lawler is related to Robert Lawlor the White Police Officer in Hartford who allegedly shot 3 African Americans in the back in 2 incidents, and related to prosecutor Lawlor?

If Connecticut Police and Courts were not corrupt, catering to the rich and powerful, how come Judge John M. Walker Jr., a Bush relative, can run over and kill a New Haven Police Officer and the judge isn't checked for drugs or alcohol, little to nothing is printed and there is no big funeral for a fallen cop. Why is the cop blamed for what he was wearing, not the Bush relative for running down and killing a good police officer?
