Two Parole Board Nominees Approved

Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s two remaining nominees to the new full-time parole board sailed through the legislative confirmation process Friday morning.

Eric Crawford of Hartford and Louis O. Roy Jr. of Avon were confirmed by the Judiciary Committee and now await confirmation from the General Assembly.

Rell pulled two nominees from consideration Thursday. Cicero B. Booker Jr. of Waterbury and Robert W. Neil of Bolton had served on the Board of Pardons and Paroles as part-time members and were involved in parole hearings for one of the suspects in the deadly Cheshire home invasion.
