Flash memory can be found in everything from digital camera cards, USB sticks, cell phones, and laptop computers.  The technology has developed rapidly over the last decade, with prices dropping and storage densities increasing exponentially. It’s now possible to store 64 gigabytes of data on a card that’s about the size of a pinky nail. But how does it work? And how reliable is it?
