Netflix Releases ISP Speed Index

Netflix, believed to use over 32% of US bandwidth during prime time hours, released a new report on major ISP performance nationwide.

Called the “ISP Speed Index,” the report measures average bandwidth across the major United States ISPs. Topping the list?  Google Fiber with an average download speed of 3.35 megabits per second. In fairness the Google product likely has the smallest install base of its competitors as it’s currently only available in Kansas City.  Cablevision, which serves Connecticut customers in Fairfield County, comes in number two at 2.35 megabits per second.
